The world's tallest tower. Nothing more. Nothing less. In Dubai, it has become kind of a habit to construct the 'world's biggest' something. Be it a building, or an airport, or a mall, or a metro system. Whatever. Nothing is left untouched. Everything has to be modified and must have something special. Or else it goes out.

This aggressive attitude has really proved fruitful in terms of development, as Dubai has seen unparalelled growth over the past few years and it has emerged as a major global player.

To top it all, there is the Burj Dubai Tower. It is taller than the Taipei tower, The Petronas Tower and every other major tower. It is still under construction.It has enormous tourist potential (tell me...who wouldnt like to stand next to the world's tallest tower??) and Dubai is sure to capitalise on that.
It is estimated to be 1680 feet tall and comprise of 144 floors. It is really not a surprise that Dubai has 1/3rd of the total number of cranes in the world.
The authrities are not revealing the actual height of the Burj Dubai Tower until near completion.
The Burj Dubai tower, once completed, will dominate the Dubai skyline. But Dubai will surely come up with a taller skyscraper in a matter of a few years. They just arent conetnted. Are they??
